The Center for Nursing Research, Education & Practice (CNREP) would like to announce that the HMH PCA Program has been re-named the PCA Academy.

The academy will be offering several courses based on Benner’s Model from Novice to Expert. It will also include a new HMH PCA Immersion Course to train internal candidates from dietary, housekeeping, and transportation interested in future PCA or nursing roles. Directors and managers interested in sponsoring the candidates during this course and for the following six 12-hour clinical practice shifts, please contact the PCA lead, Rosario Alvarado (ralvarado@houstonmethodist.org). The PCA Skills Training Course has changed. See chart below. More information on the PCA Academy, all the courses, and career coaching will soon be available on the PCA intranet site.
